Prince Harry addresses an event commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games on Tuesday. Despite his arrival in the UK, he will not meet with King Charles during his visit, as the King’s schedule is reportedly full. A spokesperson for Prince Harry expressed understanding of his father’s commitments and hopes to arrange a meeting soon.
Prince William is also absent from an Invictus event on Wednesday. Prince Harry’s visit to the UK coincides with celebrations surrounding the Invictus Games, which honor wounded and injured service personnel. The Duke of Sussex will participate in a service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, where he will deliver a reading. Notably, other senior royals are not confirmed to attend, and Catherine, the Princess of Wales, is absent due to ongoing cancer treatment.
Following his UK visit, Prince Harry will travel to Nigeria with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. The couple was invited by Nigeria’s chief of defence staff. Meanwhile, discussions continue regarding potential venues for the 2027 Invictus Games, including Birmingham in the UK and Washington DC in the US. As for King Charles, he recently resumed public engagements after undergoing cancer treatment, although the extent of his participation in upcoming royal events remains uncertain.
